    5052ci J0533 J0534

I spent the last couple of days fighting J0533 & J0534 on a 5052ci with about 800k pages. I replaced the desk transport unit which was broken, with a slider missing from the original unit & from the frame of the PF-7110. I thought the height misalignment may have been the cause of the jamming. I then went back and replaced the desk drive unit & the roller/sensor unit at the top of the desk unit. It continued to jam. At this point, I've eliminated everything in the desk unit. I ended up finally replacing the feed drive unit, that drives the machine vertical transport rollers.
The jam code says multiple pages were fed, but it seemed that the clutches in the vertical transport were not always engaging to pull the paper up from the desk.
The next page would then feed into the previous page.
After returning to the office, I disassembled the feed drive unit that I removed. The two vertical transport clutches were very rusty. You couldn't see it on the outside of the clutches as in previous models.
    Hope that helps !

      Good catch! Thanks Tony. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Are these clutches worth flushing out with isopropyl or is it if you see rust swap it?

Not as any kind of a long term solution. Just change them.

In a pinch, if I need 6 clutches and I have 4, I've taken the old ones apart and sorted through the pile o'parts to make two more usable ones.=^..^=
