    Taskalpha 6053ci toner doors

Have several of these machines in the field now but first time seeing this. The yellow toner refuses to open even when the machine is saying it's out of yellow toner. We manually released it and added the toner which made the machine happy. The other odd circumstance is all 3 of the other toner doors open whenever you open the toner access door even though none are showing that they need changed? I didn't see anything on the bulletins from KDA or have any luck on the various Google searches.

If anyone has run into this before we start chasing boards, sensors, etc etc your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Chris

SIM. 159 gives you options on when the toner doors will open

Besides the sim, check that the release lever is back in the lock position and not stuck in the open position. I've seen that happen before.
      Hope that helps !

Another consideration: If you get an error message, especially an enduser resettable one like C1020, the toner doors all pop open during an error condition. I've had to tell customers that you do not necessarily have to change the toner cartridge if it's not asking for it, but the toner door pops open. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
