Kyocera 8353ci very strange laser related problem

    Not my week this week...

I have a really strange machine which is giving bands and out of focus on c/m. If I stop the image on the drum I get the band's so I know it's pre transfer belt so was thinking laser but more likely what's controlling the laser.

I calibrated the machine half a dozen times and cyan came back to normal then went off when I kept going so I kinda know the consumables are fine. Devs drums have done 80k.

    Any ideas?

I've seen Toshiba lasers present this way when defective. Calibrate 15 or 20 times and it looks good ... until the first time it self-calibrates.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks all that fixed it. Would love to know why it went like that or what to do to prevent it.
