    [Misc] TaskAlfa 6002i

    Good morning all

    i am hoping to get some suggestions and assistance here please

    i received a TaskAlfa 6002i the the eject section harness was damaged as well as the harnesses on the right door , i replaced the harness on the eject section and i replaced the complete right door , the machine now shows maintenance door open , im not sure if the message was there before i replaced the parts i did as i never switched the device on with the harnesses being broken

    any ideas or solution for this problem please

    I would check the connector were the right door plugs in. Very easy to bend the pins.

      How were the original connectors damaged? I wonder if it is rodent related and if you don't have more internal damage. Could be more trouble than it's worth.

      I have had 24v loss result in erroneous cover open messages.

      Bent pins is a good start, and additionally you will want to start tracing your 24v power distribution, especially the 24v3_IL circuit.

      LVPS YC 5,6,7 have the main 24v rails 1-4 should be verified then begin checking 24v3_IL as it changes to 24v3_IL_F2 at the Feed Image PWB YC2. Find and check any 24v3_IL_*** voltages.

          Correct point of check @ right cover switch but this is the first point of the 24v3_IL circuit and you can see if the switch is 'electrically' closed with the voltage checks before you start tearing it apart.

          This is the point where 24v3 (24 volt independent circuit number 3, also known as a voltage rail or bus) becomes the 24v3_IL circuit which passes through several other points downstream for safety interruption.

          The source is the Feed Image PWB YC2 where pin 2 is 24v3 output to the switch and the 24v3_IL is the input (back to the F.I.PWB) from the switch when it's closed.

          Feed Image PWB - YC2
          1 +24V3_IL I 24V DC 24V DC power input
          2 +24V3 O 24V DC 24V DC power output (To right cover switch)


          (IL is for Interlock, a safety interlock circuit)

            apparently the harnesses were sabotaged and cut according to the client
