    Impact

So feel free to yell. We escalated this to our regional person. Hotline states its the only way to get the Service Mode code back to default. I thought I would reach out to the community if they knew.

We have a new client that dumped Impact and went with us. We reached out to Impact with no timely response yet. But they seem to always change the default Kyocera Service Mode code.

Anyone know the code? I submitted my Service Status sheets to KDA to send to Japan to get the recovery firmware but this may be easier. Thanks all.

*** Tried searching with no results.

Service mode code? Do you mean the username and password to access Admin privileges? Or are you referring to 10871087 to get to the Maintenance modes?
If you need the username and password and its an older machine it would have been Admin password Admin
Newer machines was Admin password (Serial number)
If they changed those then the system admin should still get in but that depends on the model of the machine and only works while using the physical control panel on the machine. For a 4004 the username is 4000 password 4000
but if you talked to the service desk then you may have already tried those. If you have KFS and can get to the command center webpage you can use RSAdmin RSAdmin to be able to reset the remote services and potentially get it connected to kfs and reset the user passwords from there.

I thought the OP was referring to "10871087". I have had to change it to prevent users from tampering in the past and changing it back is near impossible. I'm not even sure we ever did figure out how. Thankfully, for the small number of cases it was changed, the machines were considered end of life and weren't a problem.

you change 10871087 with mode U010, you can change to whatever you want., if you foget it, don't have the change. the only way back is the hotline engineer create a reset file.
your regional rep cant help if you change it.

no other secret code exist for "normal technician", because techs had done too much mistakes with old 30363036 or else.
Now special KDC registered usb key together with hidden manufacturer code needed.
KDA must send request to KDC and KDC will create special encryted file to get entrance by 10871087 one time only.
You has to copy and paste this file to usb key/ mainroot, plug in the key, enter 10871087 and by running U10 you are able to use "initialize" to get 10871087 back.
            No other way possible!!!
