    CS-5035

    Receiving code C2000 on a CS-5035.
Don't know where customer found this machine but I have very limited knowledge on this model. Can someone help, please? Service/Parts manual availability would be great also.

    Thanks.

Most of the time when i encounter a C2000 code is the finisher height is incorrect. a C2000 code is a main motor code. Pull the finisher away from the machine and open/close the left door. Push the finisher back to the machine and make sure it is aligned with the bracket correctly. if it is too low, the finisher can pull on that door enough to cause problems with the drive gears. PowerCycle the machine and it should work if that is the case, if not there is probably a gear broken in the main drive system. If that is the case, get your hands on a manual and tear open the machine. They are pretty easy to work on.

          Best of Luck to Ya.

It could also be a problem with the interlock switches on side of copier. They need to be replaced. Had many where the contacts get burnt and don't allow full voltage to motors.

                First of all:

Thank you everyone for all your insight and suggestions on this problem. I found it refreshing to actually get some replies on this board that actually made sense.

This was actually another example of a customer applying their favorite perceptive ID10T operational solution to the ADD TONER display on the machine.
As we know the replacement toner cartridge comes with two (2) waste toner bottles included, but because the waste toner is located in the bowels of the machine, completely hidden from sight, (I am of course being extremely facetious here), they just replaced the spent cartridge and discard the rest.

I don't see a need to go on as you can all see where this is leading. The drum unit was almost completely destroyed, including the breakage of the drive gears for the waste transport screw, and the screw itself.
