Kyocera ecosys 3500 is giving 0x1101 error

I am trying to setup scan to email for a client and they use gmail for smtp that I put in the server and the port number is 587. The security is Starttls, i have created the app password and put it in the copier. SMTP is turned on and the certificate is turned off. Any reason why this is not working? I have triple checked the settings and everything is correct and set to the right thing. When I do the smtp test it gives me an 0x1101 error. The copier is set to static.

I'm not sure but could it be the age of the machine?

I figured out the issue. The DNS was not on the machine. Once I inputted the DNS the test worked fine. It was a simple setting that needed to be changed.
