    Re: Blank pages

Had one a while back that must have been hit hard or dropped. No outer cover damage but brackets holding laser were bent, preventing laser from hitting (writing to) the drum. Easy check is to remove one of the charge rollers or put a piece of tape on one of them and if you get an image in that area then you are not writing to the drum.

Thanks for the help guys. Going back tomorrow. It could possibly be transportation damage. The only thing i notice is a small crack in the back cover. Something got knocked out of place. Will look at laser. Seems like a good possibility. I just dead stopped it on copies and pulled out belt and drums. Did not try calibration cycle but will. Was hoping it was something simple. Cant really do anything major as customer would feel uncomfortable with me pulling apart new machine.

I'm a little confused.... You said brand new setting it up had this issue? Did you have the equipment shipped direct to the customer's office, or did the customer buy it & have it shipped themselves & you are setting it up for them, or did you take the equipment still boxed up to the customer location? Have you stopped it in the middle of a really busy 11 x 17 print of full color from top to bottom? I would do that first, to make sure you have any of the process happening. It seems odd that you didn't get any toner setup calibration issues.... You're saying, when you turn it on, it fires up & warms up & comes ready with no errors or issues? I am really interested in this one... Keep us up to date on what you find please.

                      hi,
I assume it is due to the hvt pcb below the scanner.

                      have fun

                        Hi All

Wanted to close this out with what i found in hopes that it helps someone out down the road. After careful inspection with all the covers off i found the machine to be damaged from shipping. It took a while to find but i noticed the rear laser bracket to be bent enough so the laser unit to be out of adjustment. Got the machine working and took a lot of pictures. Now onto the return/warranty process......

                        Thanks again for the help.

Shipping damage can be hard to pin down. Thanks for posting back.
