    Kyocera 4053CI code C6610

I have a 4053 that I have very limited experience on we just inherited a few of them (national account). I am getting a code 6610 (fuser pressure) during start-up on a fuser that is 3 months old. I pre-ordered and installed a new fuser (I am aware of how fragile they are)."No go" still get code at start-up. I ordered a fuser drive assembly after researching machine operation what are the chances this fixes the issue? Also some tips on installing assembly? I have the service manual but would appreciate any input from Kyocera tech's...TIA, Free-coh

It’s a very easy assembly to change. The only tip I can give is you will need to press in the black pressure lever to remove the old one and same fitting the new one. The lever is pushed when the door closes. You’ll know it when you see it.

I’ve had a couple of 54 series fail with this error. Can’t recall having to replace one on a 4053, so I’d say it’s pretty rare.

Had 1 or 2 on the 53's, probably 2-3 on the 52's. Also had the motor fail twice.

Be sure to run a 906 in Maintenace mode to clear the error code after replacing the fuser. This will reset the original code. Might be the issue if you didn't run a 906.
