    Kyocera KM 4004i

I'm trying to retire but want to help a decades long customer with her battle. They purchased a new KM 4004i and I'd like to know if there is a setting to make the bypass tray default to 8x11 paper and at the same time feed the df 8 x 11 also without going thru lots of steps? Apparently the techs and sales people have told her that can't be done. In the old days a user could put paper in the bypass, the switch gets activated and the operation screen asks what size paper is in tray but she says not so with her machine.

Also they say it takes a long time once machine is in standby mode to come to ready state. I'm assuming machine is set to fuser OFF? Could you supply the code that I could adjust that say from 0 to whatever customer wants? And is it still 10871087 to enter service code?

Any help I can get is appreciated and the do as well. Thanks

if it's 8"x11" you'll have to set up a custom paper size. If it's Letter 8 1/2" x 11", the MP tray can automatically identify standard sizes like COM10, STMT-R, LTR-R, LTR, LGL & LGR. All you have do is enable Auto Inch Size Detection for that tray.

It's in the System Menu, or find the Operators Guide here:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
