    olivetti 5000 mf (kyocera 5002)

Machine is olivettii 5000mf (kyocera 5002). customer told me that machine run out of toner. When i see the machine messages "toner is empty", toner bottle is not installed properly " and "close main cover". I checked the old toner and it has too little toner in but i do not think that is ending. I replaced with a new one (i broke a plastic in front in order to put the toner in the machine . but the same messages . I noticed that the right cover was open and i closed but messages toner in empty and toner bottle is not installed properly remained. I swapped with the waste toner bottle with no result. I transferred toner from new bottle to old bottle (that worded) with no result. Any idea? I remind that the machine is olivetti 5000 and the toner is kyocera.

Toner bottles between Olivetti and Kyocera are not compatible as they are Keyed differently and have different RFID chips.

By "Broke a plastic" what do you mean by this, did you hack off the Keying-Tabs on the toner bottle or force the Toner Contaier Cover - or both?

You cannot re-use a previously emptied toner bottle as the machine knows the serial number of the bottles it has emptied.
This is to prevent users putting the waste back into the machine as toner and to prevent you from re-filling toner.

This sounds like a shit show.

In front of the cartridge there are four pins , if i try to insert the bottle, it does not inserted all the way. Need to brake one certain pin. Also i hzve had the same problem with an other machine and i transfered the toner to the vacant roller and worked.

One more time someone who does not know how a system is working
Take care for the answer from Slammers.
Remove cartridge drive and take a look for the metall springs and wiring between the springs and maybe you will understand why break from any plastic pin is the wrong way.....
if 1 pin only not longer present the serial connection is broken......

You cannot snap those "pins" off. Those "pins" push the metal contacts apart breaking continuity that tells the machine the toner is installed. On a color machine if any of those pins have continuity the machine goes into a toner not installed state.
Under the sticker on the top of the toner cartridge is a black RFID chip. You can remove that chip and the machine will use that toner regardless of it's toner level but you will get a warning about incompatible toner and no toner level detection.

Hang up the screw driver and call someone to help. You never BREAK tabs off to make something fit or work.
