    taskalafa 3501 question

    Customer asked to show him how to make 2 sided copy from book with one scanning
    We get in copy, duplex, more, book>>2-sided but print light is of and message "can not use this original sizeasa book original"
    what i have to do?

      Check the original size

          As bsm says, this function is designed for 210mm x 297mm two up pages, or 297mm x 420mm for the two page layout (A3). I'll bet that your original is not that dimension.

          So lets say that your book is 150mm x 230mm, or 230mm x 300mm for the two page layout. Do you have any 150mm x 230mm paper loaded in the machine (set to Custom Size)? I think not. And even if you did, the machine is incapable of identifying that original size.

          A way around this is to align the book binding at 210mm left to right. Then cut some cardstock to fill in the gaps between your custom size and A4. Tape them down to the glass. Now you have a rectangular window on the glass to center your book, that will identify as two A4 size originals, and correctly choose A4 from the paper tray.

          The book to two-sided function is not as flexible as you seem to think. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
