3050ci with light distorted copies.

Had a tech go out and work on this machine today and the copies are light and slightly distorted. Prints look totally normal and scans look totally normal, it only does it when you copy and does it both in the feeder and on the glass. Here is an example with a status page beside it for comparison.

It's difficult to tell a lot from looking at the status page. Can you print out some color test charts?

I agree ECO mode is on in printer settings .

He mentioned that internal prints are fine...

As others said, you should check if ECO print is on under copy functions.

ECO print is not on, it only does this if you copy, anything printed or from the machine internally is ok. I was talking with the tech, who is relatively new to this, and he said it's a pretty dirty place so he is going back to clean the optics Monday and see if it helps. I thought he did it but he didn't.

Must be very dirty cuz on digital machine a have very rarely light copies. I would get back him to copier basics process.asap

Like I said he is pretty new and it is so rare optics get dirty enough anymore to cause a problem. Not saying that is the issue, just hoping it is.

Not to belabor this but, what we just want to make sure you know there's 2 different Eco Prints that you need to verify are disabled.

Definitely have the tech clean the optics and run all calibrations available.

Yes I know, like stated above internal prints look completely fine. If you'll look closely it's also distorting the print ever so slightly which is lesfing me to believe the optics are dirty.

But wouldn't internal prints look fine if Copy Functions Eco Print in ON? That's what we're saying. May not be correct but it's taking a while to get on the same page.

Ecoprint is not on, it's been checked already, at the machine and at in the print driver. Ecoprint is the first thing he checked, plus the print is slightly distorted only while copying.
