    Re: Taskalfa 305

Loire is a dual component machine. So you'll need to add a bag of D4530 developer to the new empty developing unit. Run the developer stir. Then reset the developer counter.

It sounds like you've familiar with Kyocera mono-component developing, which is different. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Here's the way I would do it:

        Enter service setting menu

        Navigate to Developer unit

        Press start

Restart machine then installation will be performed

          Oops! My mistake. I mis-read Toshiba 305.

You've got a Matsuri KM-305. Yes, this model is mono-component, and does need to fill the developing unit from the toner cartridge. It's in the service mode, like attached to the other thread.

Sorry. I've seen to many different model 305's I guess. =^..^=

Isn't this thread regarding the Kyocera 305?

Looks like it is being interpreted as a Toshiba

My mistake. I immediately thought of the e Studio 305 (Loire).

Go into System Menu, navigate all the way down to Maintenance, Service Setting, you should find the New Developer setting in there.

It is critical for Kyocera units to unplug the power cord before replacing units. It should automatically recognize a new developer unit and fill the developer with the mono-component toner when you power it up.

if you purchase the developer unit from kyocera it will have the instructions in the box for the install process. including what simulations to run after you install the unit. very simple process on this model.

Darry1322 winner winner chicken dinner. Sometimes I read these threads and have to remind myself this is an international site and people have wildly different experiences with machines. The taskalfa 305 was a faster version of the 255, both which were upgraded to the more commonly known 6525/6530, but essentially the same machine with the same toners and the same maintenance kits. Unlike most Kyocera's, these white box models did not use service sim 163 to add toner, but rather a setting accessed through the system menu located on the op panel. No need to enter 10871087 on these models, just press system menu, go to maintenance and select developer and it will add the toner to set up the new developer unit.

FYI : trouble reset is also in this menu but doesn't show until there is something to reset. (finisher fault)
