I tried the laser unit. The device does not have a ribbon cable.Comment

Re: fs-3920 problem.. help please!
The only time I've ever seen wavy areas in the feed direction like this it's always been the laser. Was this a new laser, or a used part of unknown provenance? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Have a look at SB-2J0-0026-B297
Zigzags might appear in the sub-scanning direction (vertical direction) as shown in the sample image below due to
the contact failure between the heat roller bearing and the ground plate of the fuser unit. Therefore, the following
changes were made in order to improve the contact.
Content of Changes
Ground plate (PLATE EARTH FUSER)
- Change of the material (Hardened): SUS 304CSP1/2H SUS 304CSPH
Change of the shape.Comment

I just saw your message, after replacing the fuser unit, the copy was fixed. I think it's causing a leak that will affect the laser engine. ThanksComment

i understand you wanting to repair this printer. but due to the age of it i would recommend looking at a replacement. you might just end up going in circles with the issue. and end up spending more in the long run. just a suggestion.Comment
