2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You can certainly try firmware, and if you know what you're doing it may be loaded successfully, but I doubt very much that it will solve your CF000 issue.
CF000 is an operation panel to main PWB communication error. On older machines I've seen this issue caused by the ROM DIMM on either the main PWB or the operation panel. If this machine is an Alphard (and I think it is), that ROM DIMM is not a separate replaceable part. You'll most certainly need either the operation panel or the main PWB ... then firmware.
