    TA3554ci shrinking prints

    Good Afternoon
We just installed a 3554ci in a MAC environment. We used the driver that was on KDACentral. Unfortunately i dont remember what driver name/number was. Customer called today and said it is shrinking everything printed by 5 mil each direction. It is happening on all computers and all prints. When printing a PDF we found a option in paper handling that allowed us to print "actual image". That corrected that but it has to be changed each time. We couldnt find that same option when printing from Pages. We tried adjusting the document size, and all options such as; scale to fit and scale percentage. Customer has a TA4500i sitting beside the 3554ci that prints perfectly from all apps. My guess is a driver issue but that was the only driver that came up on KDACentral downloads for this environment.
Any Mac guys or gals able to help me on this?
    Thanks in advance.

Make the settings in Adobe reader then create a Preset at the top of the print window. Use that preset in other programs to see if that solves the issue, may or may not work but it is sometimes the only way to get settings to move between apps in a Mac environment.

The 3554ci is AirPrint capable. Is there any reason not to use the driverless printing capability of AirPrint that is standard on every recent MacOS?

Airprint is not driverless, and is designed for mobile devices. It uses embedded (Apple) drivers with limited functionality. The technology is more about discovery, connectivity, and driver support in a limited and restricted Linux based OS (all MAC products).

For an Apple PC device, there is more support for installing manufacturer's drivers and using traditional network protocols which are not available in mobile devices, hence it is not the best fit there.
