    Kyocera M3145idn Jam code

Hi guys, I have a customer with the Kyo-M3145idn, bought it new September last year, machine has 17K on the meter.. doc feeder will jam every so often... Jam 9158... It took it a while to do it while I was there, but when it happens, usually with 1 doc in the feeder, or sometimes more but happens after the last sheet fed in, it will cycle after the sheet started through and the primary feed is trying to feed in another sheet, even though there isn't another sheet, as if there is a flag hanging up or a switch not deactivating and its looking for the next sheet... I can't get it to do it on a regular basis or it would be easier to find. No flag is hanging up, I cleaned the photo sensors, cleaned all feed rollers, and its so sporadic that its tough to find. thought I would check here to see if anyone has had this issue. I have about 30 of this machine out in the field & have never seen this issue.. Any help appreciated.

I would look at DPOS. It's a gravity operated switch detecting the originals in the original tray. It may be sticking. It might help to counterweight the flag a little, perhaps 1/2 to 1 gram. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

As stated, all flags & gravity switches & sensors move freely & work as they should, it is sporadic and just weird that it doesn't happen more often to find the issue,.

check the left hinge where it attaches to the DP base if the screws are even a little loose then the DP base is cracked. If it is,then the white plate cant sit flush on the slit glass and trigger the switch. We've had dozens do this from all our techs.
