You have to give more info... What was the problem that you updated firmware?

I have had problems with bad thumbdrive. Try another thumbdrive...

I instaled new SSD onthe machine and its gave me that error when i was trying to install a firmware on new SSD.tnx

yeah just because you just purchased a new thumb drive doesn't mean it will work on the kyocera.... certain things have to be done in order for it to work on a kyocera.

Here we are again with 'Did you mean HDD or SSD' because the '1' series has no SSD so...yeah I'm going out on a limb and saying he means HDD

BECAUSE

Error 0501 (Firmware file preparation error) on OPT (Option Language support) is written to the...HDD!

Did you format the HDD before attempting a firmware load? MM024 maybe check it out along with MM989 on whatever HDD you put in.

Is the replacement a Toshiba or Hitachi drive?
