    Kyocera M3040idn feed clutch assy?

    Hi Guys, I have the service & parts manual, but I can decipher what part I need for the primary feed clutch for drawer 1... I have an M3040idn that I can watch the feed roller & shaft kind of stall out, like as if the clutch is slipping while it is trying to feed paper. I thought it would be easy enough to order the clutch for the top drawer, but there really isn't a clear picture of what I need and what part number to order. Has anyone replaced the clutches? I removed the side covers & it looks like it is an entire assy, or can I just replace the clutch for drawer 1? By the way, the machine only has 125K on the meter, I have done the feed rollers & drawer sep assy, but once I saw the feed stall & slip as it's feeding by watching it from the rear, I would presume it needs the feed clutch.

    UPDATE:::

    I actually removed the clutch pack & cleaned the primary clutch up & am going to reinstall to see if it helped.
    Thanks

    Parts manual shows it as:
    302MS94051
    PARTS DRIVE FEED ASSY SP
    40ppm(A4),42ppm(Letter)(A)/40ppm(A4),42ppm(Letter)(AF)/

        Did you see any rust dust? =^..^=
        If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          YES!!!... I sure did... I then went to my copier boneyard and found a pretty low meter (under 200K) M3550idn & I stole the primary feed clutch out of that assy & put it in the M3040 assy & I ran over 200 pages without a jam. I couldn't get more than 20 & it would start to get weak and the clutch would slip. The 3550 clutch did the job & it works really well.

            Congratulations on your success!

            I haven't had much luck with cleaning the Daiken branded clutches. =^..^=
