[Error Code] Kyocera FS-C8520MFP UPPER CASSETTE NOT LIFTING SERVICE CODE:01.7620 EVENT:0501 & 0511

Hello Experts:I have a problem with a FS-8520MFP not lifting tray 1. Tray 2 and MP tray work fine. Cassette from tray 2 works in tray 1 position. No motor sound at all. Manually pressed tray switches and no reaction. Tray 2 lift motor activates as soon as I press any tray switch. Is there a reset for tray 1 lift mechanism? I suspect lift motor, but I didn't see a motor test for tray 1 in the service manual (unless I am missing something). I hope someone has experienced a similar problem and can help with a suggestion-I admit I am not a Kyocera guru, but I have over 30 years in the business. Thank you!!!

Yes there is. It is in the system menu. I think it is called something about "reset repaired something"

In this case tonerkiller is correct. The Hanabi is an exception to the rule:

Run reset disable function (Enable Repaired Unit will only appear if there is a disabled unit to reset): Run reset disable function: System Menu/Counter > ^/v to Adjustment/Maint. > ^/v to Service Setting > ^/v to Enable Repaired Unit > Start.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
