Got a Customer with a new machine that is having problems when scanning IRS forms saying that they are getting void areas no problem with other doc's. Want to know if anyone else has had this problem

It doesn't sound like a hardware issue, if other docs aren't doing it. Possibly counterfeit protection, although that usually locks up the machine. -

Try reduction beyond the 1% the hotline recommended. Increase the reduction until you pass the detection algorithm. In the past this has worked, but there may be new parameters in the '4' series algorithms
In the past, the counterfeit system has generated a code, or displayed a message. There has been behavior of 'greying-out', but this voiding seems to be a new method.
Be sure to supply sample of the form and output examples if you cannot get past it via reduction.
