Kyocera FS-6525 won't wake up... have to turn off & on

Hi guys, got a customer with a Kyocera FS-6525.. they bought it new from me, has just over 350K on the meter, I did the 300K kit back in June of last year. Customer called today & said that 2 times today he sent a print job & he wondered why it didn't print. He walks over & turns the machine off & back on & it will print the job just fine. He said the same thing also if you walk up to make a copy, it appears to be off except for the power lite on the upper right corner of the display, he hits that power button & nothing happens, he also lifts the doc feeder (that usually wakes the machine up) and it still doesn't wake up. He then turns off main power & back on & its fine. I was wondering if there was a known issue with this model not waking up for a print or copy job?
Maybe doing a firmware update would be my first thing to do?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Purchased new on 9-14-2014 THE CURRENT FIRMWARE ON THE MACHINE IS 1-30-2014 F.W version 2MW 2F00.007.001 thoughts??

You can turn off "network sleep rule" in the network settings via KFS .

The issue isn't happening just with printing, they get the same effect when they walk up to it and make a copy. He hits the power button, or lifts the document feeder and it won't wake up so he turns it off and back on.

This may be of no use as a solution but we are currently working with a customer with a P3150 that will not always wake up. Even pushing buttons on the panel. We did a reset, new firmware, drivers, new IP address, turned kfs off. Nothing worked. So we gave them a P3050 as a loaner while we tested theirs in our shop. Now the loaner is doing the same thing while theirs in our shop has been doing fine. It has to be something on the network but we have no clue what. Still ongoing.

Does not matter . Check to see if it is off

This may be a shot in the dark but it has worked on trouble shooting some problems for me.

Try putting a little switch between the device and the local network.

Also maybe try turning off WSD and IPP. Also any protocol not being used.

I'm going to take a wild guess ... that the enduser is sending print jobs from webpages. Often the embedded links are misinterpreted as corrupt PreScribe commands. The machine briefly displays CF248 error (or something similar) then the machine falls asleep again, but will not wake up without a re-boot.

It took many visits to pin this down at a cemetery customer. They would prepare mock ups of the headstone art from a manufacturer website. This print ALWAYS pulled a CF248. When we finally pinned it down, after much experimenting we discovered that it is possible to download a PDF document of the headstone art, rather than print directly from the website. Once they started doing this I never heard from them again. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm going to make the trip a day this week and i'll look at the error log to see if any recent codes have come up. I have the latest F.W. to install as well. I'll post what I find, if anything
                  Thanks

Check the power supply PWB. If the top surface on the electrolytic capacitor is expanded that might be the cause.

THIS will be the answer... capacitor is only rated to 200V, needs to be 400V to survive noisy power in North America. U can swap the capacitor, or the LV PWB, both are equally valid fixes depending on your supply of parts...
