    Kyocera 3212i line black

    Hello everybody

I have a problem on a kyocera 3212i. When I print (A4 or A3), I have a black line on the back of the page at always 3cm at the start. The impression on the front is ok, no problem while the back I have the line... The line measure 1cm. (Look at the picture).

I have changed PCU + Developer + transfert roller and it dont change anything...

The idea that I have : there is a bad contact anywhere and a party of toner from the developper hook on the pcu before the paper start and going to the transfer roller. The transfer roller make a ride and the toner stick on the back of the page....

    Have you an idea ?

    Thanks you

I forget to say : by transparency we see the calibration test page... The problem is just the black line

have you checked the pressure roller in the fuser?

not sure on this model but it should be visible to you from either the inside or the exit door pulled down.

      please report back.

        Hi,
The problem appear before the fuse unit. I make a jam before the fuse and the line was already here...

You might have drum grounding issues. Check for grounding issues.

                  i remember 1 similar case.
Tech removed complete toner from dv unit by vaccumer and added new one by U130.
I would try the same by using brand new toner cartridge.

I had the same exact problem on a same model 3212i and literally on the same spot on the backside of paper!!!. I changed the drum, transfer roller and nothing. So I went back with a new developer and initiated U140 to add fresh toner into Developer and the black streak went away. Oh and we use crappy aftermarket toner!! Now the brand new Developer is loaded with cheap Chinese toner and I am pretty sure new problems are going to arise in the near future. Too bad my boss is a pennywise and dollar stupid.

you can save costs by vaccuming the dv units only.
                          By the way:
NOT U140, you has to use U130
                          Developer agent initial setting
