I've seen loads and usually it's just really badly cut paper so all the sheets are stuck together in the pack. I could understand the bulletin fixing 0518 but not 0511 if your only doing single sided then your not using any of those clutches on the door.

yeah, so an update: I'm retarded.

So after changing every part i could think of (wich is a dumb methode of working i know). i saw that the machines was outputting double pages stuck together. its the first time i saw it on this machine. after testing a pack straight out of the ream and then testing it after fanning the paper the problem was gone. i probably didnt fan the other brand ream that good.

i felt so dumb after that. good thing that all the parts i used just came from a machine sitting in the shop so no money wasted.

(sorry if my english has some mistakes in it. its not my native language)

We all learn some things the hard way. I guarantee that you'll remember that, the next time. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Was it "Report" paper?

I'm not sure Dave. I remember when Debs was a team leader in London. She had at least one team member who was constantly calling back in for help with the same problems.

Just the times we live in so many companies are going cheap to save money then blame the printer. The industry needs to catch up maybe they need to add fans that flutter the paper on pickup. The other solution is when double feed is detected a message is displayed multi sheet detected please replace paper or something to that effect.

I've had that same thought. If you've ever used the air-feed systems on the production Konica Minoltas, you probably wished they were installed on every machine.

They do have fans to riffle the paper to properly separate.
They feed literally millions of pages, maintenance free.
They'll run 60-350gsm media, and have multiple adjustments for the media.
And if you're using terrible media like NCR, it can still do a halfway decent job.

The air-feed units are comparatively large for 25cpm machine, but a creative engineer could probably down-size the unit. If it made the machine 50mm taller, it would definitely be worth it. =^..^=

The one way bearings, 2 of them on same shaft on feed assembly, run cloth through them, I use bit of alcohol on them and rotate on cloth. You'll see the dirt come off the one way bearings. If you pull them and see ring around shaft, I clean with some very fine sand paper and wipe down, this can reduce misfeeding and random jams, if very bad You'll get 050x jams paper barely leaves drawers.

so the actual problem was caused by the paper? as recommended you should try a different brand. have you inquired about where the actual paper is stored before use. i also like to recommend to customers. when you open a box of paper. keep the lid on it when not in use.

Alkeros, 508 k is a lot if tray one is their default. Most techs miss that fact. Tray one usually gets the most use because machine rarely get the gladly tray switched. We find that around 250-275 k on tray one that shows the jam over 0511, trays 2,3 and 4 run great, feed unit has been rebuilt or replaced, then we change the feed drive unit. We don’t try to take the drive unit apart or clean the clutches as the new clutches aren’t really serviceable. We inlynchange the drive unit assembly under those specific circumstances: new or rebuilt feed unit, jam code 0511 only, reg assembly is good or replaced. Out thirty id if tray two was the default and got list of the usage, the symptoms would be the same, only from drawer two.

I take kyocera clutches apart all the time. Push in the 2 tabs, push the center core out and separate. Blow out the rust and sand clutch faces. Reassemble.
