Kyocera TA 3253ci Poor Pdf print quality

    Hi All

Just wondering If anybody has seen an issue with the TA 3253ci when printing Pdf files. I have tried using a variety of drivers and also used different Pdf readers but the problem persists. The best way to describe the issue is almost like a colour registration type image but it is not due to registration. The user had an image printed before the issue appeared and if that image is copied, it is copied perfectly. If the file is reprinted the problem appears , so the issue is only when printing, and only when printing Pdf files as jpegs and the like, including internal test prints appear perfect. I am planning on updating the firmware but just thought I would check if anybody has seen the issue before updating.

    Thanks.

Some more info would be good.
    PC or Mac
    Kx driver or other
    Firmware version ?
Acrobat DC, Pro, 3rd party reader or browser app.
If you pop it on a USB key and print at the machine, what is that like?
Are you able to post a pic of what you are describing
    Cheers.

^<---This is how you do it people, pay attention.

PDF is 'ready to print' Postscript, so bypass driver effects and print from USB at the device.
USE the KX driver in KPDL mode (emulated postscript) and this bit about borders in overlapping color sections can be adjusted with the 'Trapping' settings.

Lastly conversion of web images, jpgs and the like to PDF can often bring in artifact layers which will render differently with the above methods.

You need an independent 'Digital Test Chart' PDF which you can print to ensure the PDF is not some garbage creation of pirated image layers (artifacting).

I have a 4-page GATF chart in PDF but it is 10MB and cannot be attached here, but you need something like that for testing.
