[CQ] Compressed blurry print near trailing edge each page Kyocera 420

Kyocera 420 with 700k (!)

Any ideas what is happening here?

There is a stripe of blurry compressed print, top to bottom (across), 1 1/2 inch from the trailing edge. That is exactly where the leading edge hits the delivery/exit rollers while the paper is touching the drum.

• I have replaced feed rollers and registration roller asm
• cleaned sensors with air
• tinkered with the paper loop, delivery motor speeds, separation charges
• Checked drum gear is secure and not slipping

Broken and/or missing pressure spring/holder on one side of the transfer roller.

Good call. That was the initial problem. The holder was broken so I replaced both, but CQ issue the same. I should probably replace the roller and springs, too.

Usually TR and/or Drum entrance guide. the one that comes in the maint kit.
