    7002i / 8002i development unit problem

Hi! We have 7002i and 8002i in one location and 7002i in another location and all of the machines have the same problem.
The new development unit (or new MK) works pretty well until 30-50k copies, then toner dust starts to collect on development unit (and make toner spills on paper)
we checked the toner dust "suction" system and filter unit on the rear side (even tried to remove filters), everything works and ther is no clogged toner in it
we also vacuumed development unit, but this operation helps for another 10-15k copies. Toner is OEM.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I can tell you the counters max out at 9,999,999. Extremely clean and reliable machines.

Yes, each time, even tried to remove filters to increase air flow.

Today cleaned up everything again and removed on 8002 toner filter (the fan runs with no problems), registration roller dust pad is clean.
on mk replacement following is done: 119-140-127-464-412-464-410-251
Will be back soon with result (quantity of printed pages and fotos of units)

i have had same issue and asked KDC tech for help.
take a look for the enclosed file and follow up the complete cleaning procedure at first.
(i am not able to read japanese, so i got translated version)
i would asked for data, but in cleaning in the right way solved the problem.
To prevent further problems, i prefer to check/ clean all points each 300.000 pages.

Yep, those ducts absolutely need to be vacuumed each MK or at Mini PM 300k if required. 8001s were terrible for clogging this, 8002/3 so much better.

We always had problems with the fusers not making it to 300k on the 8001's (Zeus II) seems the pressure release motor would fail constantly, but we had no issues with the 3501/5001(Alfard II) fusers and the pressure release motors though.

Never had those issues but all ours were high volume. Do you turn silent mode on?

I don't think so from what I remember, but I'm sure it would have helped. We started putting all machines on silent mode since the '02 series because of fuser issues.
