7052ci, need to remove bridge unit.

Ok, so we have this 7052ci that our customer ran some really thick cardstock through it in cassette one and jammed it and then ripped the paper out and left a bunch of it wadded up in the machine. The machine keeps having a j-0132 and c-1410 so I think they broke the sensor on the bridge unit so we need to take it out to check it and replace it. My problem is there aren't any instructions on how to do it in the manual at all and we have never done it. Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove this unit? Why wouldn't they give you instructions on how to do it? Makes no sense when it is something that might have to come out.

So after the tech coming back here and looking at a machine here that sensor and arm look fine he said, everything looks just like this one here but the machine jams with 0132 every time. I sent him back with the bridge transport section but I highly doubt it will take care of it. Any ideas?

The manual really neglects the bridge unit, you're right. Guarantee the cardstock getting jammed and shredded caused the issue. Might have some inside the receptacle blocking electrical current.

Meant to update this yesterday but it got late. We swapped out the bridge unit's transport section and that fixed the issue so now we are going to put that one back in our machine and troubleshoot the issue at the shop and see what's going on with it.

I believe the rotary decurler is called the GUIDE PRESS ROTARY 302LF28380 in the parts manual and is part of the bridge section if I am not mistaken.

Not sure but it comes out with the transport section. We put their transport section in our machine and it works completely fine so not sure what was going on with it.

So we get in this morning and they called back in for C-1410 and jamming. Not sure what is going on with this machine but it worked completely fine after swapping the bridge transport section.
