    zaza,
Unfortunately there is no C300 or C3000 code. You might to recheck that error code.

You might be getting a C3100, C3200, C3300. If I were you I would be hoping for the C3100 or C3200.

    C3100: Scanner home position error
    C3200: Exposure lamp intensity error
    C3300: White level shading error

    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sounds like you were copying a book and catching the scanner lamp assembly. You may want to take the glass off and make sure your lens unit moves freely.

hi there buddy! this error code is not in the list of error codes but if i am not mistaken i encounter this one. replace the waste toner bottle sensor, this black sensor on the left side of the bottle.

                    good luck buddy!

I love this thread, it has all the classic elements of a completely shitty thread.
                        1. The title completely completely completely sucks (Zasa's posts always have almost useless titles)
                        2. The broken English (it is OK with me, my English sucks too but it adds to the total package of the shitty thread)
                        3. The question about how to fix it and the plea for the free service manual that's made before the tech even visits the machine.
                        4. The erroneous self-diagnostic code.
                        5. The follow-up post saying, "thanks, i fixed it" (what was the problem to start with, who the hell knows).
                        6. The secondary poster looking for the free service manual (go buy one).
                        7. The next guy not paying attention to the "I fixed it post" offering up solutions to the non-existent code.
                        8. Finally, me being a smart-ass after a long day of dealing with annoying people.
                        Did I miss anything?

PS. Zaza, I'm not trying to pick on you, it's the total thread that I am flaming.
