    TaskAlfa density..svc managers please advise

We are trying to find out if anyone else out there is having issues with the TaskAlfa, both the 250 and 400 versions, having density issues on long runs.

I was shown an example yesterday of a job a customer was doing where the text, and it was text only, was a dark, dark brown. After about 200 copies you get what looks like a brownish magenta out of it and it smacks of the toner supply not keeping up as the job progresses.

Coverage is only about 5%. It was a booklet job so there were multiple pages, when I say 200 may be actually like 600 pages, but still there shouldn't be a significant problem.

Drum and developer refresh will bring it back up but every 200 copies????????

    Ideas?

No problems here but I only have a few on the street. Contact your KMA Techrep, since this machine is so new they should be very interested in looking at the issue.

      Yeah......

He basically feels we should dispatch a tech to live, eat and sleep with it.

Apparently we are the only people having any issues at all.

I always do a drum & developer refresh after any Firmware updates as well as the color cal, gray & registration.
          Hope that helps !

Our tech rep also mentioned to perform a Sim 464 after all other adjustments.

              Firmware
              Drum Refresh
              DV Refresh
              Registration
              Calibration
              Auto Gray
              Sim 464

It takes over 30 flippin min. WTF???

Just be glad it's not a Sharp: Ninety minutes to do a simple straightforward calibration. So what does this U464 do? It's new to me. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

My bad. I should have said Sim 464 - AC Calibration. Select all. It takes about 10 min and you have to turn off the power after its completed to exit.

                      TaskAlfa density

Kyocera has just come out with Firmware ver.5.0 that has touched on density problems with long runs.
