    kyocera 1820 lan fax issues

I have a kyocera 1820. i have installed the lan fax drivers from kyocera,
when i get to the point where i tell it what port to use, there is none, and there is nothing in the drop down box in the creat your own????the space where the choices should be are completely blank. I am trying to install this on a puter running 2k ( yes i know its the dark ages in the doctors office) any suggestions? is this machine just not compatable with the 2k? the drivers are for 2K

    Fax port

km1820 has special kprint that will create a fax port last one on the list of ports

Browse the disk. I believe it's under utilities. You have to install the KPrint port before it shows up to be able to select it.

Or get the newest version of the disk and you can use the IP address of the MFP without having to install the KPrint port.
        Hope that helps !

          Kprint

go to kyoceramita.com download kprint for km1820
unzip and install kprint , run kprint and create a network fax port

can only fax out using tcp/ip network port
          no USB to fax

Plug in the IP of the scanner NIC.
Kicked my ass for a couple of days, till I read the fricken book.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
