[Misc] Netviewer prompting for admin login

I was trying to do a settings transfer from a 3253 to a 2554 but it couldn't read the data from the 3253. It said something like Administrator login required to change device settings and prompted for a login.

Couldn't figure it out, so I called tech support and they said just use 917. That worked for the address book but the network and system settings wouldn't convert.
When I said I was having a problem with a transfer he asked "Is it prompting for an ID and password?" So it must be a known issue.

    Anyone fixed that?

Earlier machines used Admin and Admin. New ones use the serial number for the password. Have you gone in and changed the machines admin password? This is one of the first things we do. We use a U917 export/import with the changed password as one of the first things we do on the 54 series.

Try to right click on the machines that you working on.
Edit --> Address Book and enter the login information.

That should allow you to be able to access the information.

have had similar requests from field for new Polaris and Virgo systems.
        solution:
you has to use the newest version of netviewer, otherwise you get it
