Hey, anyone run across a good rig or fix for those damn cheapass plastic feeders that the plastic breaks on with the doc feeder hinge? Bad enough they go out so often and cost so much, but sometimes the plastic you screw them into just disintegrates. Don't know why they didn't put a metal screw holder embedded in them to prevent this, the new M4125 will end up having the same issue when they get older. Having to replace an entire doc feeder when that happens is getting old, I'm running out of used ones. Sometimes you can use a bigger wood screw if the plastic isn't too bad, but it's temporary cause it just ends up cracking the plastic more. C'mon Kyocera, youi can do better than that. And yes, I know they are starting to get some age, but they were manufactured up until late 2016 so parts are still available for at least 2 or 3 more years but just try ordering a DF by itself lol. I'm looking at buying wholesaler machines just for the feeders, they are cheap cheap now, but this is ridiculous. And a pain in ass to disassable too. How many of you have had the problem with duplex jamming because of a bent mylar? If you know, you know. Sorry, its my birthday and I'm having adult beverages on the patio and needed to vent lol, I have a lot of these in the field.

Re: kyocera 6525/8525 doc feeders
I've replaced a bunch of those frames, and it's 160 minutes, even when you're pretty good at it. Yes a lot of Kyocera's smaller DP's have inadequate frames. A few metal reinforcements would have gone a long way. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
