Kyocera TaskAlfa 3510i unresponsive after copying with new DP-772 duplex unit.

    Greetings,

We have two brand new Taskalfa 3510i that works well in house on 220v during testing.
After we deliver both to our client both machines are hanging during Job Cancellation or not, after using the the DP-772 duplexing units we installed. If you run the copy feature using the flatbed or print feature it works fine. We have done the hard reset, examine all the service codes but the machine is not throwing any errors nor is it logging any faults. But it will execute the copy task requested then the entire display panel becomes unresponsive.

Any idea as to the root cause since it is happening on both machines we installed new DP-772 on and they work perfectly in our shop. Could the wiring at the client site cause this ?

did you reconnect the DP relay pwbs?
Did you checked the wirings all the way in?
We have had several unknown errors because of bad connections after shipment.

Thank you for your response. That model machine was incompatible with this DP; only the DP 770 works.

I have seen this on the TASKalfa 3501i and 4501i. The junction board had come loose due to vibration in transit. It took us a while to figure out what was going on and after we did we made it our policy to double check it on delivery. I thought it was peculiar we never saw it with the 35, 45, 5551ci or any other model. Also I thought the TA3510i had been discontinued.
