Maybe you has to use the service manual instead of the service training manual.
here you get where you can read all about it.

The manual I used is called: Kyocera-TASKalfa-2552ci-Series-Service-Training-Manual.
The MK-8335A replacement has an inner sheet for installation. if it were necessary to turn off the machine, they would have written it in big letters...
When doing maintenance on any MFP, you're supposed to turn off the power to the machine and unplug it from the wall. Every training module tells you that ahead of time. With Sharp, the maintenance parts aren't affected by power as once you open the corresponding door, it kills power to that area. I've never really had any issues where not unplugging the power causes issues, but many people on here have, as well as other Kyocera techs I've talked to, and it's a good idea. Silly, but a good idea.

I disagree with the interpretation. If we talk about electrical contacts, it is clear that we are talking about the replacement of electrical parts, motors, boards etc... NON-CONSUMABLES!!!!
The drums, developers and toners are consumables. It's not the same thing. For example, when I replaced a motor on a Kyocera 2500, 1 month ago, I disconnected the power cable, and it is also logical because you are in contact with tensions, and you don't know which ones.... Come on, it's different...and it's absolutely logical... All it takes is a screwdriver, or just a screw that comes into contact with something to cause damage... and it is absolutely logical to remove the cable... Not in consumables...

You wrote the answer by yourself:
“we are talking about the replacement of electrical parts”
Eeproms are installed in the LLU parts in all Kyocera systems, which means they are electrical parts.
As a trained technician, you should know that.
The manual also describes that the system must be unplugged from wall outlet for all maintenance work.
I see that you come from northern Italy, there is a large distibitor of our systems in Pordenone, just ask Roberto, the technical manager, if you know him.
He'll give you the right answer.
But I don't want to waste any more unnecessary time now.
          Believe it or leave it.
We only wanted to help you, but I'll think twice about that in future.

Don't be offended, I didn't mean to offend.... I know Roberto, and he told me that even the toner according to Kyocera or TA should be replaced by turning off the machine, but Kyocera themselves have made videos where you can clearly see that they don't turn off the machine. machine... However, although I find it strange, obviously I will put it into practice in the future, thanks for the appreciated help.

"we are talking about the replacement of electrical parts".

I meant to say that we are in contact with parts that have voltages and that we could touch them, which however cannot happen with consumables.

I know Roberto for over 20 years.
When he has problems, he gets in touch with me.
So far, I've always been able to help him.
