he already replaced this parts, definitely its not from the charger nor the drum unit. you dont need to perform drum refresh if drum unit already been replaced. most likely high voltage board(contact is not good).

keep us up to date with this prob jasonW! good luck buddy!

How interesting! I don't think anyone has suggested the paper feed tires yet.

Let us know what you find. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            another possibility

might be this... near the drum on some of these older copiers there is red felt roller... you will see it when you pull out the drum... directly in front of that or rather above it a white bar and in front of that and slightly above is a metal bar... in some models... there is a special cleaning blade that attaches to that... if this cleaning blade gets worn... it can cause this issue... the blade usually comes in the drum kit if I am not mistaken... I had a similar problem a while back... changed drum, fuser, developer and only after calling up the area tech did I find out that this guy can cause issues... if he goes bad... toner spills... on the drum and then goes everywhere... causing nasty ghastly stuff... the hint will be if the red felt is black... if its white thats also not a good sign... but black says the blade is getting bad...

Should be quite interesting to hear what resolves it considering the wide variance of responses!

              Regards!

                FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!

Was the stupid drum after all. The two used drums I tested had the same similar problem. Of all the luck...

Thank you everyone so much for the help. Your support is priceless

it's common for those copiers, working in bad condition (dirt, humidity). You can see those dots on the surface of drum(when you have this problem), just pay attention

                          a word on parts

my understanding is that all parts for the km 4030/35 models are refurbished... especially drums... I have had drums in maintenance kits that were just as bad as the drums I was replacing... on numerous occasions... wondering... is there a way to recondition the drums besides the drum refresh...????

no ways, drum refresh helps sometime a bit, but just for while

Hey copygal... you're about 3.5 years late on the response. He replaced the drum and it resolved the issue.
