You may want to check the filters.....ALL of them. I can't remember exactly how many there are. It sounds like heat is building up inside the machine & it's constantly recalibrating. Kyo's need to breathe.

Is this a new machine that has always done this or is this a new issue on a machine that has been out for a few months?

      Format the hard drives??

Hi, you can set the calibration cycle to "long" in the system menu.It should make an improvement.

You have to recalibrate those model machines whenever they are moved anyway...
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

I did that on a new machine last week. It's only been in about a month & has about 4k total on it. As the original poster stated, it'd run about 12-15 copies & calibrate for about 3 minutes. I'm wondering if the humidity has anything to do with it as it's very low right now.

                The vitals are as follows Temp 23, Humidity 14, Internal 24, Internal 2 0, Internal 3 24.

UPDATE: In U464 Set Interval Calib Print Rate, it seems this is for % of coverage on the page. My customer is running about 20-30% coverage on their fliers. 10% is the default for calibration. I bumped this sim up & it stopped calibrating. This obviously could be detrimental not maintaining quality. The sim is written kind of ambiguously so it really hard to say exactly what it's doing / looking for. Hopefully this will help someone else out.
                  Hope that helps !

The problem I've had is getting it to calibrate more often, not less. If it maintains the quality, I'm ready to take on any verbal challenges to explain away the need to calibrate.

It's not an analog! There are a lot more things happening here than a main motor chugging away. Now if you don't care what the prints look like, I can live with that too. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Not any more. I set all my TASKalfa machines to "Custom" Calibration Cycle. With the settings that I have been using it calibrates every 25 pages for 12 seconds. Once it is explained why the machine does this, I get very little in the way of complaints. =^..^=
