I have a customer that wants to indicate the location of the machine on the Kyocera Command center page, by inputting the location in the Device Asset# spot. Unfortunatly we are not having any luck finding how to cahnge the Device asset #. Can any body give me some direction. I'm normally a Ricoh tech, and was trained on these things over 2 years ago. I've only worked on 6 of them since I was trained. Any assistance wil be greatly appreciated.

In Command Center, it's listed under Management\SNMP\SNMPv1/v2c\Settings. Look for "sysLocation:"
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your post. To change "Asset number", Open up KMnet Viewer and add the device in question. Then, right-click on the device and go to "Advanced", then "System Settings". From this page you will see the "Asset number" setting and will be able to change it.But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

I've got one customer that has changed the machine's host name to their asset number. I suppose it makes no difference to me. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It's the reverse. Command Center is the machines web interface, and you have a shortcut to the web interface in the admin utility KM-Net Viewer. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Kmnet Viewer is a utility that comes with all Kyocera copiers/printers. You can find it on the same CD that the drivers are on. KMnet Admin is another utility offered free by Kyocera, however this is a server-based utility and is way more complicated to set up. For something like you described, just install KMnet Viewer on your laptop (if you have one) and run it from there. Otherwise, you'll have to run it from one of the customer's PCs.But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Sort of. There is a link in Command Center called "Download Drivers" that goes to Kyocera's main user download area. From there you can get drivers, manuals, brochures, etc...But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
