    KM-5050

    Hi,

I have a KM-5050 that does not seem to want to go back to the "Default Copy Screen" after some one has used the scan function. I know its suppose to go back to the default after a minute but it is not. When someone comes behind the person who has scanned something they select the copy key but it will not copy, it just beeps. The customer has to turn the machine off/on and then everything is fine. I've update the newest firmware and also inilized the memory but it still does it. But here's the kicker "it dosen't do it all the time"! And it has not done it to me! Of course!!! Any help would be greatly appriciated.

    Thanks

    Brian

Have you tried changing the timer to a different setting for defaulting to the home screen? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Could be a sticky key(stuck on) or the touch screen(stuck). I have seen the touch screen, appear to lock up the machine. I used a business card to clears under the touch screen at the edges of the screen. Just push the card under the plastic and above the touch screen, and go all around the screen, u will be amazed on how much Sh*t is in there. Then make sure all the buttons have a different click to them.

      good luck
