[CQ] dc 2254 Mita copier I need a scan lamp or place to buy one.

The scan lamp is out. seems to want to copy with a flashlight.

Can someone get me a part number for this lamp? I am having trouble locating one. Then I need to buy a lamp.

    thanks

    Kyocera Mita DC2285 Lamp (L3470)

    Part number: 72168020

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes thanks zaza , I dont know anything about the machine. A friend asked for help for his customer. I want to tell him if a simple ohm check on the lamp fails then lamp is burned out. Then try to find a lamp.

IF ANY more serious than that we would give up on this old machine. But at this time I still am asking for the lamp part number and a place to buy if possible. Thanks for the help.

That model machine is no longer supported by the manufacturer. The only way you might find the lamp (or any other part for this machine) is to contact Kyocera dealers (as there is no Mita anymore) and ask if they have the part. You could try ebay as well, but I doubt you'll find it there.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

              I bought mine at

There are two good places where you can find parts for your machine. There's eBay where you might find some good stuff and some bad ones, and there's www.aMatterofFax.com where you can get electronic peripherals for all sorts of copiers. They're tad cheaper too, that's where we got our office copiers
