I would have put a section to fill in with customers current machines, so sales know what spec they have and how many enabling them to have a little insight before contacting the customer directly.Comment

Do what I do. Sell it yourself and cut the salesman out.
O.K. I know that most have to refer to the sales dept, but I am curious, what do you get for your lead? I can sell, but I only get paid 20%, and a salesman gets 30%. I think the boss makes the salesmen pay $50 to techs if they get the sale from the lead. I get away with it because no salesmen work my area, so they can't claim that they were working that customer.The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.
