    Taskalfa 300ci Urgent case

    This is an urgent case.
One customer of us has a Taskalfa 300ci 220V use only letter size paper with the latest firmware. And today I installed a Fax system board on this machine. After I Installed the faxboard I turn the machine on to make sure the fax has been properly installed. The machine recognized the fax on board than I decided the update the firmware to the latest from the KMA.
Ater that fax has been initialized than U600 has been execute country 253 europe has been insert the machine is although the machine is 220V.

When sending faxes everything is ok the report shows the fax has been send successfully.

I check all the paper setting default all of them is ok.
At last I change the country to 181 US but same result when receiving faxes I got a warning on the display add letter paper in tray 1.

    Any Idea?

There's a little more to this.

Read exactly what is on the screen. Sometimes the messages are cryptic. "Load paper in tray #1" could mean that a specific media type has been set at tray #1 or tray #2, exempting that tray because the facsimile wants a different specific media type. There is also the "European" factor. What paper size are the fax receptions? Mixed? A4 is not the same size as letter, and will not substitute one for the other.

I would suggest designating a paper tray as A4 paper size and "plain" media type, and keeping it loaded with A4. Also make sure that the facsimile can print onto "plain" media type. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree with Blackcat, look at your paper settings before you go down the firmware route.

In System Menu go to Common Settings -.- Original / Paper Setting -.- Cassette Setting -.- in Cassette 1 you must have configured Paper Size in Auto ( Metric ) and Media Type in Plain,

with this your problem is solved,

          Bye !!

I don't believe that you have answered any of my questions.
Primarily, what size are the facsimile receptions coming in? =^..^=

                  solution

Please, put the cassettes to auto size detection, not to a fixed size.
if you set the cassette to a fix size, it won't print, you need to put it on auto=> problem will be solved

you have to play around with you paper settings and media type that's the only way to resolve it. i also encountered that problem and by changing the paper size and media type i solve it. read correo.tony and blackcat4866 thread what they are saying is correct. try different settings you will get it right.
