If you're talking about 69mm x 153mm checks, I hope that you are not seriously entertaining the idea of feeding these little scraps of paper through the document processor.
If you are talking about manually laying out an 8 1/2 & 11 or an 11 x 17 area of checks on the glass, then yes, you can turn on 1 to 2 sided duplex and possibly a 64% reduction to fit the images onto a letter sized page. The machine will scan the first image on the glass, then you can continue to manually lay out the checks, and press start. Nothing will be printed until "Finished Scanning" is pressed, then it all will be printed duplex and reduced if you like. The same goes for a scan to SMB or scan to email. All the same layout options are available in the scanning screen. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
