Any input on this one guys? KM5050 with LCF (PF-750) runs fine from left side. When left side is empty, right side tries to feed but jams ( JAM 17 ) When I open the LCF the paper seems to have almost made it to the left side. There aren't any physical marks on the paper to suggest anything..Do the LCF clutches fail?? Stumped

The plastic features that secure the left side pickup roller typically break. There is a new style feed frame, but there is a better solution. Drill a #40 hole through the metal flange that is flopping around, and tap the metal M3 x 0.5. Remove the metal plate and enlarge the hole in the plastic to #31. Countersink the plastic from the bottom side, so that an M3 flathead screw sets flush with the plastic. Assemble.
I have heard that the new style feed frame breaks in exactly the same place, and takes quite a bit more work.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have also used a mini wire-tie or zip-tie as I call it. I feed it through the hole where the broken hold down feature was and back up & over the shaft and secure the zip-tie onto itself. just take care in how the zip-tie is positioned so as to allow everything to still move freely as it was designed and trim excess. It holds very well. Have had some repaired in field now for a couple of years like this and still going strong. Good LuckComment

thanks for the input.. the holder was broken and i screw tapped it.. it made a big difference but still continued to intermittantly do the same..replacing the back right small feed clutch completed the fix....Comment

I've seen the wires to the clutch get broken within the insulation, by all the tugging. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
