[Dead] CS 4035E with code C6000

Copystar CCS4035E I don't work on these but got one in trade-in.
Kinda want to fix it and resell it if it is worth it.
Giving a code of C6000 and I can't get into service mode and it won't clear.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Fuser Error, Service mode Sim 163, if it comes back could be fuser, power supply etc.

I've repaired dozens of these fusers. It usually makes the coffee-grinder sound just before you get the C6000 code. This fuser uses a thermostat that makes contact with the heat roller (within the belt). Early versions of thermostat had too much spring pressure, and no orange teflon tape on thermostat surface. The thermostat starts to vibrate against the heat roller, eating through the teflon, and eventually blowing the thermostat.

The next most common failure on this fuser is C2300 (fuser drive error) or squealing or J40-J45 jams. The ball bearings on the foam roller within the heat belt will fall apart, and the foam roller shaft will wear down.

The last common failure on this fuser is the inevitable enduser damage to the heat belt.

Since individual parts are not available for these fusers I collect cores, until I have enough parts to combine two fusers to one working one. I'll tell you in advance that this is not one of the easier fusers to disassemble. I've never seen a bad power supply, so I'd think that unlikely.

Replacing the fuser assembly will definitely solve your problem. But hold onto the core. Someday you'll have enough parts to repair it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Up and running. Must have been a very cold start and coded. Only 170K on machine and 15k color.
            Not bad for $300.00.

You might have had a heavy fill print wrap up behind the heat belt, blocking the non-contacting thermistor. It can give you the code. The customer removes the paper, then leaves you the code. Congratulations on an easy fix. =^..^=

It was in storage for at least a year.
I am thinking they tried to fire it up in storage dead cold, or that the front door doesn't quite close right at the switch.

By the way, how is this box overall?
Parts seem to have a higher life, but are more expensive than other machines.
Reminds me of an expensive throw-away. (Ricoh 1224C)

Not at all. The fuser issues have been solved over a year ago. They run good for me. It's not any more difficult than any other color machine. Personally I dislike that Ricoh series, just because its $1K worth of parts to do a 60K PM.
