    KM8030

    Hi there.
Can anyone help me. On the count report the meter reading is 4096384 but on the maintenance report the life count is 4190860. What is the difference ?

Any tests or reports that you do in simulation mode are added to the life count but not the customer's copy count. 95,000 is a pretty big difference though. I have one machine with a 40,000 difference (1.3mil total) because I spent a month testing an obscure J00 problem (missing a $1 ground plate). Sim U908 shows customer count; sim U928 shows life count.

You beat me to it. Yes, copies performed in service mode, and reports do not appear on the Total Count report. I discovered this by accident. The first few machines I set up were in service mode during my initial testing. When I printed the final count I had (5) copies. I always run at least 50 per drawer, so with the DP it should have been closer to 300. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It may have to do with double-counting larger-size sheets (11x17) for maintenance contracts.....
Actual sheet-fed count vs meter/maintcontract count.

I also thought it's got something to do with copies in simulation mode but 95K !!!! Never !!! And the double count get added to the count report. I checked it. But thanks anyway to all.

Check the scanner and the fax counters to see if they total to the missing 95K pages.....?

There is no fax and they don't use the scan option.
