    kyocera km-3225c black developer issue

Just replaced the black developer and installed a new toner, machine is still reading toner low/add toner. I have bypassed the door interlocking to make sure the developer turns. It's turning and so is the toner feed motor. Any ideas. (i never initialized the developer, didn't know how to do it)

The machine recognizes the new developing unit by the chip, and automatically performs a stir. So there wasn't a simulation that you needed to run.

Are you sure it's "Add Toner", and not "Non-OEM Toner" message? This machine uses RFID chips to identify OEM toner cartridges.

I suppose you could have some sort of a main drive issue, but you say that the developing unit is turning ...
This machine is a little different than the KM-C4035E which has a black developer drive clutch, which can and does fail. The KM-C3225 is driven by the developing drive motor, which has a low failure rate. Did you turn the developing unit by hand to determine if the unit was hard to turn? I've come across a few units that have been exposed to heat that were very difficult to start turning. Once rotated through a few times, they worked OK.

Just curious: What readings are you getting in U155 and U131, automatic? If you don't know how to run these simulations you really need to get a manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Thanks for the reply.
The machine has Oem toner and it displays add toner.
I have not checked the values for simulations mention.
I not very familiar with this machine.
I had to replace the developer because the old one was very hard to turn.

Remove k dev, hand crank the back in the same direction as the arrow.

If no turning, k dev is ceased, replacemento.

Edit: nvm. Its been covered, hard to see with blackberry lol.

              resolved the issue....
noticed the bk developer had no toner. checked the bk toner supply motor and noticed that under strain (with the toner cartridge in place)the gear did not turn. one of the gears in the assy was not in place. replaced the toner supply assy for the bk and machine is back to normal.

              thanks for the help
