[Dead] km 5050 and C0130 AND C0640 ERROR CODE

    Ok...
I have a km 5050 that generated a c0640 error code... Bad hard drive or bad main board... He carried out a main board and a hard drive from a working machine to test out the parts... By the time he was done... The machine was displaying a c0130 error code. He had moved around the eeproms... The customer currently has a loaner machine... My question is where do i go from here... Is it possible to just reprogram the eeproms and if so how do i go about this... Any help would be appreciated...

C0640 is a HDD failure, you dont have to swap boards or thee eproms.. Just buy a new HDD and replace it, the only issue lost maybe is the info on the old hdd.

On another note the machine will still prob work without the HDD for the time being, but the ARDF etc will not be useable

Hear me and hear me good. Load firmware via CF card near ethernet port. USB firmware won't work with these codes.

Falcon 3's won't work unless engine and main firmware are on the same level, that's why your swap didn't work.

Agreed. Replace HDD. Reformat the hard drive. Reload firmware. That should resolve your codes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

When formatting the HDD from a PC, which file system do you use? FAT32/NTFS etc?
              thanks

File system does not matter, once installed on the machine you want to format the internal command.

May I use any IDE 40 GB hard drive or does it have to be Kyocera? What are compatibility specs?
