    KM8030

HAd a right door issue and replaced the hooks and springs it now latches
Machine ran a few copies but when it jammed it showed a transport area jam.
Could not find any paper etc so I manually checked all sensors for hanging sticking etc.
Didn't get anywhere went back to machine a few days later ( its in a factory and they were closed ) machine powered right up and went ready then after pressing the print button it showed the same jam. Will not clear checked sensors in sim 31 all sensors seem to be actuationg and changing state. Cannot figure this poiece of &*%# out
    Any help thanks

I had a 6030 a few weeks ago that even tho sim 31 showed all the sensors working correctly I still had a bad sensor. You might try just changing out sensors in that area with a known good one to be fully sure all the sensors are indeed working correctly.

just a thought, check all sensors in jam area for a out of place one . sim will still read good if actuator still moves. customer once ripped jam out and moved sensor about 1mm took a while to find it.

        What jam codes?

If you're getting J25, J26, one of the vertical path sensors can come unlatched from it's mount, or the mount can become unlatched from the metal guide. There is a modified sensor and mount and a mylar to prevent these sensors from coming unlatched. I also drill and tap the metal guide and install an M3 x 5 screw to keep it in.

If you're getting J40, J41, J42, J43 it could be a rusty fuser drive coupler, chewed up gears in the fuser drive unit, or the transfer unit drive gear fallen off.

If you're getting J60, J61, J62, J63 it could be the duplex switchback roller, or middle tray side guides mis-adjusted, or possibly a software glitch resolvable by a simple re-boot.

If you're getting J81, J82, at the feedshift gate on prints only, you might have a broken plastic guide on the duplex tray upper right. If the support pin is broken the upper guide lays right on the lower guide at the front, buckling the paper. The buckled paper doesn't snag until it reaches the feedshift guide.

        What other codes? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Misfeeds (Jam 00) won't clear. Front door interlock switch (FRCSW) becomes intermittent, causing random jamming, that occasionally won't clear. Replace the front door interlock (FRCSW)(2FB27210).

This one drove me crazy. At least 6 return calls. Never anything to find or even suggestive jam codes. The clue was that on one of the hundreds of times I re-closed the front door the jam momentarily cleared/showed jam/cleared/showed jam, all in about 1/2 second. I wasn't even altogether sure what I had seem. =^..^=
